Lander was educated at Clapham and Hammersmith School of Art and was head of the studio at the prominent poster and commercial designers Ralph and Mott in the 1930s. He produced posters for GWR, LNER and the Post Office amongst many others. The present work is a cover design for a travel booklet from the 1930s.
