A Summer's Day in the Tyrol

Ref: 1841

Signed l.l.: Adrian Stokes

Oil on panel, 20 by 26 cm

Many of Stokes's most succesful later landscapes focus on the landscape of the Tyrol on the Austrian/Italian border and provide a vibrant and highly decorative record of the flora and fauna throughout the changing seasons. The present work probably dates from the 1920s.
