The Fall of London demonstrated a profound escalation in the artist's
abilities as a graphic artist. The series depicts the city destroyed by
violence and anarchy; buildings in ruins, bodies littering the ground.
Reference: Exhibited in the Peace Pavilion at the Paris Exposition
Internationale; the series is held in the collections of the British Museum
and the Tate Gallery. A set, not individually signed, is in a private
collection.
