1913-1992

Figures outside an English country church

Ref: 33

Watercolour over pencil, 5 by 7 ins (12.5 by 18.5 cm)

Provenance: the artist's daughter

This beautiful early study probably dates from the early to mid 1930s and conveys something of the unconventional eye for detail and original sense of composition that went on to characterise so much of Norman Clark's work.
